However, this was the first notebook I ever created. It is 1.17 GB however it contains significantly less images and is almost all text. The largest notebook I have is my Kelly Marshall Notebook. However, a quick check in my list of files in OneDrive shows that entire Notebook is only 251 MG. If it were, my “Fashion” Notebook would be at the top of the largest file list as every page contains dozens and dozens of images. However, storing images in OneNote is not the critical issue that’s impacting my storage. This seemed rather large so I used free online Bing Digital Storage Unit Converter Tool to double check my math – and was shocked to confirm that one OneNote file was taking up almost half a GB in storage.īack in OneDrive, I used the “Open File Location” button to open the file in OneNote Online. Scroll down to the bottom of the pane and you will see the File Size. To see the actual file size, select the checkbox beside the file, and click on the Information button in the far right side of the Ribbon. This files will be listed from Largest to Smallest. This will take you to the “Largest files in your OneDrive” page. Next, click on the “What’s taking up space?” button. This will take you to your OneDrive Manage Storage Options. Click on the Storage usage button in the left-hand navigation pane.

While Microsoft won’t immediately kill off the UWP version of OneNote for Windows 10, the company does note that OneNote users should move to the desktop app by October 2025, when OneNote for Windows 10 will reach end of support. “Advances in Windows and Office will allow us to unify the two apps so that you’ll have the simplicity of a single OneNote app on Windows while enjoying the interface and features you’re already familiar with,” explains the OneNote team.
